Who is h.u.s.t.l.e.?
It all started
with Social media
Our founder, Troy Sandifer, started H.U.S.T.L.E. Recovery on May 1, 2020 with a single facebook post. That morning he was contacted by the mother of his friend Josh Bartley to inform him that Josh has passed away from a fentanyl overdose. With a heavy heart Troy made a facebook post. He told his community that if they were struggling with addiction they didn’t have to die. He encouraged people to reach out and ask for help.
We do whatever it takes
At the time Troy had no clue how to get people into treatment. He began to simply make phone calls and connections with treatment centers across Tennessee. Today H.U.S.T.L.E. Recovery works with over 50 different licensed and faith based treatment centers in the state. H.U.S.T.L.E. Recovery has also developed relationships with over 100 recovery residences and sober living environments to help Discharge Planners to navigate people to their next level of care after treatment.
H.U.S.T.L.E. Recovery has the ability to navigate people to treatment with or without insurance. Once we have facilitated admission into a treatment facility, we take things a step further by providing sober companion transport. In the last 4 years, H.U.S.T.L.E. Recovery has been able to facilitate admissions for over 5,000 people and in the last 12 months we have logged over half a million miles in sober companion transports.
Over the past couple of years Hustle Recovery has added a variety of services to help individuals on their recovery journey. These include a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) with supportive housing, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a 6-month Vocational Rehabilitation Aftercare Program, Respite Housing, and several gender specific Recovery Houses.
H.U.S.T.L.E. Recovery: Advocating for Treatment Over Incarceration
At H.U.S.T.L.E. Recovery, we are dedicated to providing justice-involved individuals with opportunities to choose recovery and rehabilitation over incarceration. We work closely with individuals, their attorneys, officers of the court, and law enforcement to facilitate this shift, focusing on support and transformation rather than punishment.
Our team actively assists with furlough processes and guides individuals through the often-challenging re-entry process. From connecting them with treatment programs to securing stable housing and meaningful employment, our comprehensive approach ensures a smoother transition back into society. Through our diverse programs, we aim to provide the tools and resources necessary for individuals to rebuild their lives and stay on the path of recovery.
